Hot Melt Service was asked to tackle the problem with angel hair which was redistributed to the outer box. The boxes are glued at the bottom and to achieve this, the box was transported horizontally along a Nordson H204 glue head at reasonably high speed. The hair on the outer carton is considered human hair by the buying party, which is absolutely not-done in the food industry.
We have replaced this glue head for a High-speed glue head which has a very short closing time, ensuring that the glue is quickly broken down and no longer has any chance of sticking. The so-called head-to-tail effect is completely gone with this glue head. Also, the chance of clogging is reduced because zero cavity hot melt modules have been used. The pointed sealing needle comes to the front of the fixed nozzle, thus any dirt is split and fed out./p>
As the dimensions of this glue head match the old one, the conversion involves little work.
