Spraying hot melt, or swirl, spray or mist can be done with special glue heads that are available as standard. Usually, in addition to the glue supply, there is a separate air section that, in the case of the hot-melt glue head, distributes the glue through the air with compressed air.
Hot Melt Swirl Spray applications
The process of glue cycling is usually used to apply hot-melt glue to thin, heat-sensitive, large or variable surfaces. The swirl and circle pattern is achieved by passing hot air through a special hot melt nozzle that contains a series of compound and angled holes. This creates a vortex around the glue jet, making it swirl in a circular manner when optimally adjusted. Most swirl heads are available from ½″ to 6″ wide (1 to 15cm) . 1.5-2.0 " (3 to 5 cm) widths are the most standard swirl hot melt glue heads available.
Hot-melt units
The hot melt units and hot melt hose are the same as standard, only the piece from the glue head is substantially different.
