Melting point of hot melt

The melting point of hot melt is an important indication of heat resistance, and certainly of meltability and minimum temperature settings in the hot melt tank.

Temperature build-up from tank to glue head.

Usually the temperature is increased from tank-hose nozzle. Depending on glue consumption, the temperature difference per part is 0-5-10 degrees, sometimes larger differences are kept, in case of extremely low consumption, or in case of a lot of glue burning.

Minimum tank temperature

However, the tank temperature will usually have to be significantly higher than the melting point of the hot melt, otherwise the hot melt will not be liquid enough (quickly) to be further processed by the hot melt pump.
