Hot melt nozzles always replaced with a hot, pressureless system and heat-resistant gloves.
- Hot: otherwise the nozzle is glued on, and any seals and sealing rings are broken.
- pressureless! beware, set the air pressure on the glue pump to zero. Residual pressure may remain in the pump. To check, manually switch the glue head once.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment, at least heat-resistant gloves and safety glasses
- Have a bucket of water handy, in case something does go wrong with most hot melts it is wise to cool immediately with water and leave the hot melt on the skin at first!
