How fast is hot melt glue?

Hot melt adhesive, also known as hot melt glue, is a type of glue that dries quickly and becomes solid when heated. The "drying time" of hot melt adhesive depends on several factors, such as the thickness of the adhesive layer, ambient temperature and humidity. In general, hot melt glue is faster than other types of glues, such as polyurethane glue or epoxy glue, for example, which take longer to dry and become solid.

Hot melt adhesive is often used in industrial applications, such as gluing cardboard boxes and bonding plastic parts. It is also suitable for domestic applications, such as repairing shoes or gluing wooden objects. In most cases, hot melt glue dries within minutes of application and is fully firm after a few hours. However, some hot melt adhesives may take longer to fully dry, depending on the specific formula and the application for which they are used.
