Hot melt glue guns are best known for the 11mm glue cartridge variety. These glue guns are available in different versions, for example higher power for more melt capacity, a better handle and larger transmission for less strong squeezing, and there are even cordless glue guns.

Granular hand gun
Granular hand guns are available with and without compressed air connection. These guns can also handle small cubes of PSA hot melt.

Granular hand gun with compressed air and swirl
This hand gun has a compressed air connection, which forces the glue through the hot-melt nozzle. Squeezing for transport of the glue is no longer necessary, there is only a push button for activation of the compressed air. This gun is also available in a SWIRL version, to apply thin circle layers of hot melt.

Handgun on a glue tank
There are also hand guns that can be connected with a heated glue hose to a professional hot melt unit, such as from Nordson, Robatech or Meler.

Automatic switched modules
Hot melt is widely used in automated processes, such as packaging or equipment assembly, such as white goods. This is where the product passes and is automatically provided with, for example, a line of hot melt. Soon after, the box is closed, or the other material is applied and briefly pressed (0.5 to 10 seconds).
